What's phantom power?

Phantom power is a voltage that powers a microphone along its mic cable. The power is supplied at the mic connectors on most mixers. To see if your mixer has phantom power, look for a switch labeled "phantom", "P48", or "48V". Turn it on.

If your mixer lacks phantom power, our floor mics won't work. You'll need to purchase a phantom power supply, a low-cost box that powers the mic. You need one phantom power supply per microphone.  Here's one:  http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PS400. A supply is available online or at any music store. If the supply has a "12V/48V" switch, set it to "48V".
